InkType Will Return

Hi everyone -

I send my thanks out to everybody who has contributed language translations recently.  Unfortunately I just haven't had the time to get them packaged and uploaded in a new version yet - but I will soon.

Another quick note - InkType will return shortly.  The site has been relatively quiet regarding releases and news -- primarily because I've been so busy, but InkType is also being rewritten ground-up.  I won't go into too many details here, but there is a brand new template engine, and the concepts of CodeIgniter MVC have been changed around a bit, but overall I think it's going to be a great system, and MUCH more flexible!  I'm really excited to continue working on it so I can get it out to everybody, but I have some things I need to get finished up before I can do that.

Anyhow, hang tight and thanks for all your contributions and emails - keep them coming!

InkType 0.4 Released!

This InkType update contains a huge amount of bugfixes related to the language files.

New language translations have been added: Bulgarian, Dutch, Polish and Romanian.

New Languages Available

Language files for English, Japanese, Norwegian, Italian and French are now available in the latest InkType release!

Coming Soon: Multilanguage

Just a short note to let everybody know that I've started taking advantage of CodeIgniter's language libraries to build multilanguage support into InkType.  This release should be out within the next couple of weeks so stay tuned!

On that note - if you're interested in providing translations, please let me know!  It will be extremely easy and shouldn't take much of your time at all and I need volunteers of all languages.

InkType Update Status

I don't know if I will ever get this next update to InkType out.  I keep thinking of awesome new stuff to put in and get so excited that instead of releasing what I have, instead I keep coding and coding...and the worst part of it all is that some of it is going to require some massive restructuring (but I'll probably release an update before I go into all of that).

There are some pretty nifty new features coming soon, though, so stay tuned!

InkType 0.2.1 Released

InkType Neptune Patch 1 has been released!

Here is a rundown of the changes in this update:

BUGFIXES

Date information in form will no longer change when a post is submitted but doesn't validate

Fixed small bug that prevented IE from properly displaying the TinyMCE WYSIWYG editor

FEATURES

Initial implementation of Template Package Installer

ENHANCEMENTS

Admin accounts will now be WYSIWYG enabled by default when first_login is called

editorjs no longer loads in backend where not required

Removed a lot of unnecessary $this->load->model calls (models now loaded in autoload.php)

MISC

Post and Page statuses now show 'Published' and 'Unpublished' in main list as opposed to 'Publish' and 'Unpublish'

Change 'Draft' to read 'Unpublished'

Removed ibrowser folder from TinyMCE plugins folder

Removed $config['models_autoload'] from config.php

Added autoincrement to user_meta.user_meta_id

InkType 0.2 Released

* Admins can choose to enable / disable WYSIWYG editor in their user profile

Official Site Unofficially Launched!

Yes, that's right... the "Official" site has been "Unofficially" launched. I say this is the "unofficial launch" since InkType is still in alpha development and since the User Guide has a lot of work before it is in the shape it needs to be. I went ahead and did an "unofficial" launch because of the large number of people who have shown interest in the project... release early, release often! Errr... well, hopefully that will apply for the launch of this site too.
